Bloomberg bonds explainer

Role:Motion Designer

This series of motion graphics was made for Bloomberg to explain topics about the bond market. It focuses on two main themes: the comparison between the bond bubble and the tulip mania, and the biggest holders of U.S. government debt.

The visual style mixes geometric shapes, data visualization, and metaphor-based storytelling. It uses bubble motion, economic charts, historical scenes, and abstract images to turn complex financial ideas into clear and easy-to-understand animations.

One episode starts with the story of tulip mania and includes the views of Alan Greenspan to warn about the bond bubble. The other episode looks at how the U.S. government is one of its own biggest lenders. It uses circular layers and visuals of global money flow to show how the world’s capital system works.
